Baja Peninsula

Baja Peninsula’s arid desert has crashing waves from the Pacific Ocean on one side and the tranquil Sea of Cortez on the other. With that many miles of coastline, it’s no surprise that it has some of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. There are plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing, including whale-watching, sea turtle hatchling, snorkeling with whale sharks, and swimming with sea lions. Although many refer to it simply as “Baja,” it’s actually made of of two states: Baja California and Baja California Sur.
